Saving an idea
Choose Shishan in another app's system share menu, or tap + in Shishan to save a link, image, or note. You can paste a whole message containing a link. Select up to 8 images at once.
Shishan is missing from the share menu
Make sure the app is installed and has been opened, then check the system share menu's additional actions. Some apps use their own sharing interface or provide different content types. You can also copy a source link and paste it in Shishan, or select a screenshot yourself.
A source link won't open
The original site or app handles the link. Network access, login requirements, removed content, or platform restrictions can affect it. Shishan keeps a source link; it does not download full articles or videos.
Text in an image isn't found
Device text recognition may miss blurry text, handwriting, complex backgrounds, or unsupported languages. View recognized text in the idea's detail page. A clear title and your own note can make it easier to find later.
Recovering deleted ideas
Undo an ordinary deletion or open Library settings > Recently Deleted to restore an item. An item permanently deleted in Shishan cannot be restored in the app. Originals in Photos and copies you previously shared are unaffected.
Moving to another device
The current app does not offer cross-device sync. System backup and restore depend on your device settings and backup service; they are not a Shishan sync guarantee.
A save failed
Keep the current draft and avoid uninstalling the app. Check free storage, unlock the device, and retry. During a partial batch save, completed items remain saved and the app reports the result. If a record can't be read, the app preserves the original file while continuing to show readable items.
Support and privacy requests
Include the app name, platform, app and OS versions, steps and error message. Send only what is needed, redact private material, and never send passwords, recovery codes, tokens or a complete private collection.
