Collections and on-device recognition

Shishan stores collection text, links, selected images and recognized text locally. It receives only content you choose or share from another app and does not modify gallery originals. Imported images are converted to JPEG with a longest edge of 2,000 pixels; this is not a full-original archive.

Image text recognition uses a bundled Google ML Kit Chinese model on the device, not cloud OCR. This version has no accounts, cloud sync, advertising or analytics SDK, and system automatic backup is disabled.

Manual link previews

The app has INTERNET permission for HTTPS previews you explicitly confirm. Browsing or saving a collection does not automatically visit webpages. A preview shows the destination and asks for confirmation for that visit. The website and its image services receive URL paths, query parameters, IP addresses and necessary connection information, but not your collection thoughts, cookies or login information.

Previews execute no webpage scripts and save no full webpages. Preview text and re-encoded static images are stored locally. Image caches are bounded and can be cleared. Request paths and query parameters can contain personal information; check links before visiting.

Deletion and external copies

Ordinary deletion can be restored from trash; permanent deletion cannot be undone. Clearing preview images does not delete collection text or imported images. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes app storage. Manage gallery originals, shared copies and external website records separately. Opening a source is handled by an external app under its policies.

We update this policy when features or data handling change. New uses of data will be explained before you use the relevant feature.
